For more than a century, The Wilson School has provided students in the St. Louis region with an exceptional elementary education. With your help, we can continue providing this unique experience for the next 100 years.

Meeting the Needs of Today

Providing students with a unique Wilson education requires a significant financial investment beyond the cost of tuition. Each year, tuition covers 90% of the expenses related to educating a Wilson student, therefore we must rely on tax-deductible donations to annual giving to help bridge the gap. Community support through the following are essential to the annual operating budget:

Giving Back to Future Generations

“Our biggest wish is that Wilson will provide Alison with the opportunity and guidance to continue to develop the confidence to openly accept the challenges she will face as she grows,” wrote Ashley George Gill and Scott Gill in their daughter’s Wilson application when she was entering junior kindergarten.

As Alison enters high school, Ashley and Scott believe that Wilson exceeded their expectations for their daughter’s elementary education. To give back to the school which they now consider their community, Ashley and Scott made provisions for a planned gift.

The Gill’s donation will be designated toward The Wilson School’s endowment, a legacy gift which they hope will “leave things better than we found it, and make sure this opportunity of a unique education endures for others.” The endowment will allow Wilson the flexibility to use the funds as most needed for future generations.

Mabel Wilson Society Founder’s Circle Members Ashley George Gill and Scott Gill. Through their planned gift, the Gill family looks forward to staying connected to their daughter’s alma mater. They hope to inspire other Wilson families to invest in Wilson’s future. Says Scott, “This is a great way to follow the example set by what our children have learned at Wilson and make our mark a good one.”
