Language Arts

Even as we equip our children to use technology well and embrace the possibilities it affords, we are as firmly committed to teaching language arts skills as we were when we opened our doors more than 100 years ago.  We recognize that communicating well through the written and spoken word is, if anything, more important than ever!  At every grade level, Wilson students hone their speaking and listening skills;  they learn to love reading and to think critically about material.  Every child progresses through a  writing process that includes reflecting, polishing, conferencing, and editing.  Every child learns to express themselves with confidence in a front of an audience.  Students graduate as capable communicators and collaborators.
