A passionate advocate for early literacy, Anne Marie Murphy brings her considerable expertise in teaching phonics in Senior Kindergarten. In addition to supporting and guiding emergent and early readers, Anne Marie loves the close relationship she develops with her pupils and finds the senior kindergartners’ zest for learning and life particularly inspiring. Anne Marie says that she was drawn to teaching at Wilson because of the opportunities that the high teacher-student ratio offer to give each student individual attention. When she is not at Wilson, Anne Marie loves taking walks with her husband and their (very playful) Mini Australian Shepherd Obi and traveling to new places, especially when her journeys take her somewhere with a beach.
