The Wilson Difference
We equip students to engage confidently and creatively for success in school and in life.
Sized for Success
Unique from many other schools, our purposeful size lets our kids regularly discover new experiences while being prepared for any environment in the future — big or small.
In smaller classroom settings with two teachers, students are more apt to participate and take risks, allowing them to become solid in who they are. It also encourages healthy relationships and collaboration, including learning how to work out differences as well as practicing sound leadership.
Benefits of Our Size
PERSONALIZED
Students feel known and valued as individuals. With small group instruction, we can better personalize learning to each student.
FLEXIBLE + AGILE
We have the breadth that allows students to grow their talents and the depth to challenge them beyond their grade level, allowing them to take more risks.
DIVERSE + INCLUSIVE
The Wilson School is rich in diversity, with families from 25 different countries, more than one-third of our student body being people of color, a fifth of our students with a parent born outside the U.S. and 40% receiving some form of tuition assistance.
Integrated with Innovation
Classic and innovative, the curriculum balances STEM - science, technology, engineering, mathematics - with language arts and creative self-expression, all of which are enriched with technology.
Through integrated learning, foundational content from multiple subjects becomes connected parts of a project, requiring students to demonstrate their competencies through complex challenges. Our exceptional educators use a team teaching model, working collaboratively across grade levels and across disciplines to enhance learning.
Classic Inputs and Innovative Outcomes
VIRTUAL DEEP SEA DIVE
Students are introduced to underwater habitats through a live-dive experience in a kelp forest via our Immersion Wall. After a real-time tour led by an underwater park ranger, students are inspired to create dioramas for a school-wide presentation.
LEVEL UP VILLAGE
Students learn about water usage and conservation. With our partner, Level Up Village, students collaborate through live video chat to learn alongside students in Algeria, using their French speaking skills to compare and discuss water usage and conservation, becoming more environmentally conscious and globally aware.
Opportunities through Outcomes
We measure success not only by strong test scores, but through the empathy, creativity and confidence of students. As a result, our students enjoy excellent secondary school placement and are well prepared for the next step in their education.
