Ways to Give To WilsonAnnual Fund FirstThe Wilson School Annual Fund strengthens and sustains the extraordinary opportunities of a Wilson education. Each year, the school relies on gifts to the Annual Fund to provide special resources for students and faculty to distinguish our school. Without such gifts, Wilson would not be fit to provide the many enhancements that enrich each child’s educational experience at Wilson. Gifts to the Annual Fund are a direct investment in education of every Wilson student. Excellence Program"Our favorite word is 'excellence'…" said Hal & Catherine Faught, grandparents of two Wilson alums and the founders of The Wilson School's Excellence Program. In the fall of 2006, Hal & Catherine established the Excellence Program, a dollar-for-dollar matching fund that supports professional development for our faculty, additions to our library, and innovative programming for our students - including an exclusive writing partnership with Washington University. Through the generosity of the Faughts, Wilson parents, grandparents, alums, and friends, the Excellence Program sets The Wilson School apart from all other independent elementary schools in Saint Louis. Scholarship FundOur scholarship fund provides assistance for students to attend The Wilson School that would not otherwise be able to afford full tuition. If you have a heart for scholarship and would like to help provide an excellent Wilson education, please designate your gift for the scholarship fund. All gifts received will benefit students in the upcoming school year. Capital and Endowed GiftsCapital and Endowed gifts support new construction, facilities, major renovations, student scholarship, and educational initiatives. Such projects improve our facility and allow Wilson to continue to offer programs that prepare our students for success in an ever-changing world. Due to the magnitude of these projects, their costs cannot be met through the operating budget. Capital and Endowed gifts may also lead to recognition opportunities that honor or memorialize a person of the donor’s choosing.
Stock Gifts - To transfer securities, please have your broker contact: Chris Georgen, Coordinator of Development and Communications, at 314.725.4999 or cgeorgen@wilsonschool.com for complete account information. Please notify the development office of your gift intentions so that stock transfers will be attributed to the correct donor and to the correct fund. When attributing gifts to more than one campaign at Wilson, the stock may be transferred together in one transaction. Matching gifts are a vital source of funds for educational institutions. They also are an increasingly important way for companies to allow their employees to direct a portion of the monies earmarked for charitable contributions. Check with your employer to see if they are a matching gift company and your gift instantly doubles! Tax Exempt Status - The Wilson School is a tax-exempt institution under Section 501(c)(3) of Internal Revenue Code. We are organized and operate exclusively for educational purposes. Gifts to Wilson qualify for the highest income deduction permitted under Federal and Missouri law. |
