WELCOME TO THE ART ROOM!

The students are exploring our two new art themes for the school year.  The first theme is Caring Artists. We will be focusing on artists who have depicted caring subjects in their art and life,  such as, Kathe Kollwitz, Diego Rivers, Jacob Lawrence, Keith Haring, Ben Shahn, Vincent Van Gogh and Dorothea Lange. Our second major theme is the art of Ancient Rome. We will learn about Roman architecture, mosaics, pottery, sculpture and crafts.
