Wilson School Summer CampWhen your child is ready to take a break from schoolwork and devote some time to good, kid-centered fun, the Wilson Summer Camp is the place to be. The counselors involve campers in physical activities, crafts, games, and projects centered around stimulating summertime themes. Assemblies, talent shows, creative activities, games and sports, water play, swimming at Shaw Park, quiet-time choices, and snacks round out the day. Field trips also are part of the mix, including fishing and picnics at Tilles Park, bowling at Tropicana Lanes and exploring the St. Louis Science Center. There are a number of action-packed enrichment offerings taught by experienced educators, including adventures in literature, art, film-making, and exploring St. Louis. Michael Hinkebein, Wilson School Senior Kindergarten teacher, serves as the director of our Summer Camp. His staff of counselors includes teachers, graduate students and college students-many of whom have worked at the camp for a number of years. Parents may sign up their children for an entire summer or have the flexibility to enroll them in two-week enrichment activities or on a week-by-week basis. Early arrival and extended day are also available. For more information about our Summer Camp contact Michael Hinkebein at mhinkebein@wilsonschool.com.
