The faculty is a mature, professional group with an average teaching experience
of 17.6 years. Faculty members reflect substantial diversity in gender, race,
ethnicity, socio-economic position, and religious orientation.
There are 18 full-time classroom teachers, a science specialist, a French
teacher who also teaches Latin to fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students, two
part-time art teachers, a music teacher, a physical education teacher, a
director for the Hal and Catherine Library/Resource Center, and a technology
coordinator. The faculty is grouped into four units: early childhood
(pre-kindergarten through senior kindergarten); primary (first through third
grades); upper (fourth through sixth grades); and specials, consisting of
science, foreign language, Latin, art, music, physical education, technology,
and library/resource.
